What are the treatment options for someone struggling with opioid addiction?
MAT is the current gold standard for treatment of Opioid Use Disorder(OUD). These programs use medication either alone or in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies.
Methadone clinics offer treatment of Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) by using a medication called Methadone. This medication is dispensed by the provider at their facility on a daily basis.
Behavioral health therapies, peer support specialists, Narcotics Anonymous, and sponsors are all part of a support system used to help those suffering from OUD to stay on track.
Rural Opioid Addiction Resources acts as a resource catalog of individuals, organizations, and caregivers interested in supporting opioid safety initiatives and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) integration in primary care and other settings.
At ROAR, we partner with individuals and organizations to provide those struggling in our community with the tools they need to fight back against opioid addiction. We value a connected community and strive to build a network of caring partnerships.
